At Karen Black Interiors, we believe your home should tell your story. It should reflect who you are, the things you love, and the life you live. From the art you collect to the materials you’re drawn to, we find ways to weave your story into every detail.
For one homeowner who loved to paint and collect art, we designed the living area with generous wall space so her collection could shine. Rather than designing full-height built-ins on either side of the fireplace, we opted for lower cabinetry only, providing storage while keeping the walls open for statement pieces that bring the room to life.
This whimsical play nook was designed for a family with two young girls. We collaborated with the architectural designer to add a window for natural light, then brought in a mural artist to paint a sky scene that makes the space feel like a dreamy hideaway.
In a recent powder room, our client’s Thai heritage inspired a wallpaper featuring elephants, a meaningful symbol of strength and good fortune. Every design choice becomes an opportunity to reflect personality and purpose, creating homes that feel collected, intentional, and completely unique to the people who live in them.
