New Construction Home Design
As exciting as it is to build a custom home, the process can be overwhelming. Having an experienced interior designer on your team can help ensure that the myriad of decisions made along the way culminate in a cohesive design that reflects your personal style and functions for the way you live. At Karen Black Interiors, we are well versed in the construction process and assist you every step of the way. From the initial construction design meetings to fixture and finish selections to the installation of furnishings and accessories, we are with you throughout the journey to advise, support, collaborate, and ultimately help deliver the home of your dreams.

Renovation Design

Furnishings
Whether part of a custom home build or renovation, or as a standalone project, furnishings are an essential part of making a house a home. Clients who are embarking on a new construction or renovation project often view furniture as an afterthought, but the most successful construction projects are those that incorporate furniture budgets, layouts, and selections into the overall design of the home. A well-furnished and accessorized home can enhance both the beauty and functionality of the space and give you a custom look that reflects your personality. We help you establish a furniture budget that is appropriate for the scale of your project, curate a look that fits your lifestyle and aesthetic, and handle all the details from ordering to delivery and installation.

Our Process
The next step in the process is a 90-minute Starter Consultation. The cost of this consultation is $350 and is due prior to our meeting. During this time, we will explore design ideas for your space and dive deeper into your objectives and the overall scope of your project. We will also discuss the design process and budget. After our hour and 1/2 together, you can either take the recommendations I’ve given you, or we will agree to take the next step.
If we agree to move forward, I will present you with a proposal outlining the scope of work and my design fee prior to beginning our work together.
